MATT FRENCH I was born at an early age. My first creation-station was a high-chair. As a child I watched in wonder: insects working, my mother painting, dad's graphic lay-outs, big wheels, crayons melting in the sun on construction sites, skateboarders in Whatcom county and California, treeforts, God, sunny patio steps on summer mornings. Shortly after I stopped wearing clothes my mother made me, I started skateboarding: a mobile freedom with a layer of maple for every day of the week and a wheel for every season, so every day and every season since, I've skated and created and lived, alive fully.
