TRYSIL SHOOT DAY 3.5 TO 7
The second half of the week was way better weather wise and because of this the sessions started going off. It was sorta hard as there were so many riders, all with different idea's and wishes. Some wanted to ride the hip, some wanted to hit the kicker others wanted to change things, shapes etc. But in general there was a consensus and some amazing riding was seen. On Saturday Markus and I worked on getting this shot that has been in my head for a while now. It worked out pretty much how I had pictured it, thanks Keller for hiking so many times. It was closing weekend up there, which means thousands of people come to the resort to celebrate the end of winter. I've never seen anything like this in my life. While Keller and I where shooting there were literally hundreds of drunk tourists walking, rolling, sliding down the piste past us. It's tradition, in the morning they all go to the top of the mountain with backpacks full of alcohol and during the afternoon they start coming down again, completely wasted! It was, needless to say, carnage. But everyone was very friendly, lots stopped and asked what we were doing, many offered us drinks which I found nice(burp). That night we all went out partying. It got very late, very messy and some of the guys didn't make it home. Somewhere during the evening Museltov got introduced. I'd never played this game before, but it involves smashing your glass/bottle on the floor with your foot after you've emptied it. Its a game that is only funny when you're drunk so I'm guessing that the bar staff weren't really enjoying cleaning the floor in the morning. To them I say sorry! The next morning I had to leave pretty early for Oslo and my flight home. I was feeling a bit green but slept the whole way and was feeling ok again by the time my flight was boarding.

A huge thanks go out to Trysil resort for hosting us. Ola Matsson for organizing everything and putting up with our requests. Claes Hogstrom for coming up with ideas and putting in the hours in the cat making it all happen. For sure the hardest job, dealing with so many people. Magus for shaping and driving the skidoo. Long haired Viking guy for driving the skidoo.

TRYSIL SHOOT, DAY 1 TO 3.5
After a nice weekend in Oslo I met up with Longo, his girl and Oli Gittler at the bus station. At the airport the bus stopped and Juuso and Danger Dave climbed on. Destination Trysil. It's the 3rd year we've been invited up to this awesome resort for our end of season photo-shoot. You should go: www.trysil.com Arrival in the resort and time to check out our home for the week. No disappointments there, 3 brand new luxury apartments. Over the next few hours the crew slowly assembled, and what a crew it was. At one stage during the week we crept over the 20 mark!

The 1st couple of days we were plagued wth similar weather to what I had had the week before. So I started a project that took more time to complete than I anticipated. I liked the idea of building a big hip in the park so with Claes's permission I jumped in the big excavator and started digging. At 3am I turned her off, still no-where near completed. By the time it was finished I had put in 20 hours on the machine! It was worth it though, in total we had 3 great sessions on the hip and the riders loved it. What with shooting during the day and digging into the night I started to get a bit grumpy from lack of sleep.

I was first into the apartment so I snapped a shot, 10 min later it looked like a bomb had gone off.

Grey weather out but we brought some color to the mountain.

Tonton was first to test out this feature

This was about 10 hours into my hip building experience.

Bigger gap and more pop please. Tonton and Danger

Step-up anyone?

OSLO
After making it to the airport and dropping off Cheryl and Jenny I caught the train into Oslo. I have been to Oslo a few times and love the place, I could really imagine living there. Anyway, over the years I have made some friends there and it's always good to spend some time with them. I booked a nice hotel on Karl Johans Gate and started calling friends. That evening we went by train to see a cult Norwegian band called Big Bang, they rocked!

Spent some time with Matias&Mathias, the guys that introduced me to Oslo. Super talented film makers and general creative guys. http://www.disorderfilms.com/ I had a great time all weekend, more awesome memories of Oslo.

TRYSIL DAYS 3 & 4
I was up early and up on the hill with Magnus the cat driver. I'd had this idea for a feature and the cool thin about going to Trysil is that they make it possible to try out new things. Anyway, it didn't take long to build and at about 10 the girls arrived to try it out. We got a little session going and it worked out pretty good. I got some really nice shots and as it turned out it was lucky we decided to shoot then.

As the day went on it became darker and darker. Story of the week really. The next day was as well horrible weather, no chance to ride. So we went to the just completed Radisson hotel at the base of the mountain. They have a big swimming pool complex that also has a standing surf wave.
