VOLCOMS BAND JOUST IN MADRID 29/01/2009 Click on image above to play movie!!! Hello Everybody, Let me take a deep breath before I start...Its been a crazy Rock and Roll weekend in Madrid, last Saturday (24TH) the fourth BANDJOUST took place at RITMO Y COMPAS. The more I see this event happen, the more I know that were going in the right direction. Let me break it down, good live music for free in a good venue with good people. Throw in goodies to give away its a recipe for success. People crowded in front of the stage all enjoying the music and the atmosphere, while the bands backstage.........doing backstage stuff like talking about music, live concerts and getting technical, talking about their instruments. The first band that rose to the occasion was MAFIA a band from the Basque country, a great band with an impressive live set to get it all rolling. Up next was the local band from Madrid LAS VECCHIAS which consists of an even split of two guys and two girls with the front man actually being a women and leading the way with the others to perform a tight set. The third band set for the bill was INSIDE ME also from Madrid who played a dark powerful hardcore set. There was supposed to be a fourth band as part of the event but was cancelled last minute because of a illness within the band. For the finale last edition Band joust winners RADIO AKTIVA played the gig of their lives to totally finish up the perfect night of music. Congratulations to the winners LAS VECCHIAS. They were proud and happy to accept the guitar trophy, clothing pack and 1000€ worth of hours for studio time.
