Last Tuesday July 20th all kind of jungle animals met at ESTRAPERLO
venue just looking for one thing: To claim the title of Bandjoust Barcelona 2010!!
The Joust began with the Basque band THE RIFF TRUCKERS. Raw r´n´r,
hillbilly attitude and whiskey for everyone. Next band was THE ATTACK
OF THE BRAIN EATERS. Three insolent kids from Oviedo, playing solid
and consistent.
Last band of the Joust was FRESH THRASH from Masnou.
Those were the 4th qualified on the band selection. The 3rds, HZERO
couldn´t make it due to a wrist injury of the drummer. Their thrasing
riffs made all the local crew got into the typical hardcore dancing
fight which was super fun. While the Thorrior were judging, was turn
for LAS VECCHIAS to show why they won last year. They gave a great
concert.
And the winner was:...THE ATTACK OF THE BRAIN EATERS!!! CONGRATULATION!!
The took to their van a Volcom packy, V.ent Guitar Trophy, Marshall
AMP and 1000 € to spend at recording studio.
The end of the night was awesome. Time to enjoy the VALIENT THORR
concert which was simply amazing.
And everything for FREE!!!

VT took the party to the streets!
Barcelona's BANDJOUST winners!
Este martes 20 de Julio se reunieron en la sala Estraperlo de
Badalona los más cabestros de la zona, para disfrutar de un cartel
poco usual.
Primero tocaron los RIFF TRUCKERS. Rock and Roll sin edulcorar
venido de las entrañas de Euskadi. Toques hillbillies y whiskey
para todos.
Seguido, desde Oviedo, 3 jovenzuelos sin escrúpulos, THE ATTACK OF
THE BRAIN EATERS y por último los FRESH THRASH de Masnou. Los FRESH,
cuartos seleccionados para el concurso, sustituyeron a los HZERO
que no pudieron tocar debido a una lesión. Los locales jugaban en
casa y consiguieron con sus ritmos thrasheros que todo dios se diese
de hostias en el engorile.
Las VECCHIAS viajaron Madrid-BCN para
pegarse un pedazo bolazo que gusto a todo el mundo y demostraron
porqué ganaron la anterior edición del BandJoust 09 en Madrid. El
veredicto de los cabeza de cartel Valient Thorr, no se hizo esperar:

Todas las bandas y el público se llevo regalos a casa, pero los
ganadores de la pelea a muerte en el escenario cargaron en su furgo:
ropa Volcom, un ampli cortesía de MARSHALL una guitarra-trofeo
Volcom Entertainment y un cheque de 1000 euros a gastar en estudio
de grabación...casi nada.
Tras la entrega de premios y regalos tocaron los THORRIORS. La gente
no se podía creer el pedazo concierto que estaban disfrutando...y
GRATIS!!!
Noche irrepetible que repetiremos seguramente en cuanto podamos.
Muchas gracias a Gaizka, la gente de la ESTRAPERLO, todas las bandas
participantes fueran o no seleccionadas, VECCHIAS, los VALIENT THORR
y a todos los que hicieron esto posible.
