VOLCOM HAT PRESS IN LES DEUX ALPES- AT THE SUPERWHITE STORE 10/07/2012


busy afternoon A summer without snowboarding is unthinkable for all of us over here at Volcom Snowboarding�That's why we make sure to swing by Les Deux Alpes at least once every summer. Les 2 Alpes in the French alps (close to Grenoble) is one of the premier summer snowboarding destinations on the planet and the largest rideable glacier in Europe. A typical day here, you'll be snowboarding from 9am to 1 pm, come back down to the village at 1650 meters at around 2pm, get out of your riding gear and switch to boardies.. Then, the choices of what to do next are just about endless.. Hit the trampolines, summer bobsleigh course, the pool or the lake surrounded by hot chicks, play ice hockey, football, tennis or go downhill mountain biking? If skateboarding is more your thing, there's a fun park with a head high mini ramp just behind the main gondola and at least another 5 mini ramps scattered across the village.. Then, come night time, if you still have energy to burn, you can go get buried under an avalanche of sweaty "saucisse" at the Avalanche Nightclub. Or, if you're part of the lucky 1%, as it seems every Volcom rider is, you manage to traverse across the avalanche prone-hill that the dance floor of this club is, snatch the rare or only Edelweiss in there and quickly spin your way back out before the whole hill comes sliding down.. Arthur at work! We came up for the Kumi Yama weekend contest (Big ups to Vale Ducourtil for winning it) to support our riders in the comp and decided to throw in a "Free Volcom Hat Press" at the Superwhite store, belonging to old friend and legend snowboarder Yannick Amevet� Just as is the case at every hat press gig, we give out Volcom Trucker hats (Casquette de conducteur de camion) then kids and adults too of course get to pick a Volcom motif or emblem of their choice which is then pressed onto the hat� In addition, there's free food & drink, goodie give aways and a chance to meet your favorite Volcom snowboarder(s) .. With Arthur Longo being a Les Deux Alpes native, and popularly known as the "mayor' of the village, we also gave away one of his snowboards to one visibly very happy kid� ..
