PAULIN SECURES 3RD IN THE MX1 WORLD STANDINGS IN ROOKIE SEASON

Leading French MX star Gautier Paulin has taken his factory Kawasaki 450F- SR to 3rd in the MX1 world championship after a consistentrookie season that saw the talented 22 year old win a GP and rack up 4 podiums.

The final GP of the 16 round series held in Teutschenthal at the Talkessel circuit, would see Paulin post two strong and consistent races for a 4-5 result in front of a 40.000 strong crowd.

Gautier Paulin: “I’m very happy to bring a medal to the team and to Kawasaki. At the beginning of the season I was hoping for more than bronze, but MX1 is definitely a strong class! I didn’t have so much pressure this weekend and I rode two good races. The goal here was to keep the third place in the standings and I did it, thanks to the team, which was always behind me throughout the season.”

Paulin will now spearhead TEAM FRANCE at the Motocross of Nations in Lommel Belgium next weekend. Together with fellow Kawasaki team-mate Xavier Boog (Open class) and Marvin Musqin (MX2) they will rival Belgium and Germany as the countries to topple the USA’s grasp on the Chamberlain trophy on the 29-30 September.
