Volcom Stone’s WITP stopped in Stuttgart/ Pattonville last weekend in Germany. It’s one of the largest skateparks around Stuttgart with something for everyone to skate.
In the morning, the sky was cloudy and it looked like it would rain the whole day but we give the event a go after checking the forecast.

At 10.30 a.m the first kids were on the spot to practice. Step by step more skaters came in by and were stoked about the setup.

The contest started with the 14 and under category. Over 40 skaters gave their best and pushed skateboarding to the next level. Henry Gebhard for example convinced the judges with stylish feeble grinds, flips over the gap and so on stoking the crowd and the WITP crew.

Then in the 15 and older category, the level went up a notch; these guys were ripping the park like hell with all kinds of tricks. As we ran the WITP skateboard contest for the 3rd time in Stuttgart, it was rad to see how some the kids are improving over the last years. Kids went wild in the Park!

The Open division was the ender of that sick day. Many local heros entered the contest, such as shredders like Glenn Michelfelder, Max & Dominik Pflüger, Fitchi, Alex Schulz just for naming a few. That category destroyed the park. Dominik nailed a bs bluntslide on the downrail, Alex laserflipped the London gap, Glenn made this huge kickflip over the rail! It was amazing. All the audience and all the skaters were stoked to see such a high level of skateboarding. Stuttgart is still one of Germany’s most famous skate city!

Alltogether it was a great skate event with an incredible skate level. The crew did a great job as well and although the weather troubled us sometimes we managed another unforgettable skate fiesta!
